Antique 1900s French Silver Bowl

An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Chinese Export Silver bowl; an addition to our Asian silverware collection. This exceptional Chinese Export Silver bowl has a plain circular form onto a plain circular swept, spreading foot. The body of this antique Asian silver bowl is embellished with chased traditional oriental chrysanthemum floral and foliate designs, all on a matte background. The decoration to the body incorporates a large shield shaped vacant cartouche to one side. The upper portion of this impressive bowl is encircled with a plain applied moulded border to the incurved shaped rim. The hallmarks struck to the underside of the bowl include: Origin mark: Shanghai (??) Maker's mark: Bao Cheng Branch name: DE JI Artisan silversmith mark: Fang (?) Condition This antique Asian silver bowl is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The chased decoration is all very sharp. This exceptional antique Russian silver posy holder has a knopped, conical shaped form onto three legs. The surface of the holder has a frosted finish and is embellished with impressive engraved floral designs to the cylindrical portion. This exceptional antique Indian sterling silver sugar bowl has a circular form onto a spreading foot. The body of this exceptional silver bowl is embellished with impressive chased leaf decoration, accented with a central broad interlacing band comprising six panels. Each panel is ornamented with an impressive chased Hindu deity, each surmounting an iconic animal*, including: peacock, elephant and leopard. The raised shoulders of the sugar bowl are encompassed with an applied moulded border accented with leaf designs. This exceptional Indian silver bowl is fitted with an impressive C shaped cast silver handle, realistically modelled in the form of an elephant's head and trunk. The hallmarks struck to the underside of this exceptional sugar bowl include: Maker's mark: T. R.
