Bengt Berglund for Gustavsberg Pair of Scandinavian Modern Ceramic Vessels 1970s

About the Item

A pair of Bengt Berglund's Tobacco porcelain pitchers from the 1970s for Gustavsberg, Swedish Ceramics Company. It seems that the pitchers were made only in the two colors shown here. The decoration is of Colonial time smoking habits showing Native Indians and Europeans featured in fictional (?) Tobacco Companies' advertising promotions. Topped with cork stoppers. Both with the Gustavsberg Logo and impressed model number on the bottoms. Bengt Berglund (b. 1936, Sweden) enrolled in Gustavsberg's Vocational School in 1954, where he acquired the training to become a ceramist. He worked for Gustavsberg from 1960-1982. Price is for the pair. Measurements: 3 inches diameter, with the spout 4 inches x 8 1/2 inches high without the cork.
