This early Fantoni vase, which dates from the late 1940s, is decorated with images of flute-playing satyrs. An all but identical piece was exhibited at the important 1950 Brooklyn Museum exhibition, "Italy at Work: Her Renaissance in Design Today". It was also photographed for the book of the same title.
