Suzanne Ramie, ceramic vase roller, Atelier Madoura, Vallauris, 1950s. Suzanne Ramié (1907-1974) created in 1940 the Madoura workshop in Vallauris. Her ceramics became increasingly famous and the success of the atelier Madoura gave a new life into Vallauris. She met Picasso in 1946 and put her skill at Picasso's disposal when he began to explore creations on pottery at the Atelier Madoura in 1948.
