A Satsuma covered earthenware vase by Yabu Meizan, Osaka, 1853-1934, the compressed ovoid jar fitted with a cover in the manner of a tea jar decorated in polychrome enamels and gilt over a clear, crackled glaze, delicately painted with a continuous design of children playing various games, studying calligraphy and playing music, the cover painted in gilt and chrysanthemums, with gilt seal Yabu Meizan. Measures: 6.2 cm high.
