Pair of large hexagonal ironstone vases and covers, Mason's Ironstone or Ashworth, circa 1845. A pair of large blue and white hexagonal ironstone potpourri vases and covers finely decorated with underglaze blue flowering branches with peony flower heads and flower buds highlighted in gold. Each surmounted by pierced bell-form covers terminating in foo dog finials and to the sides are handles in the form of stylized dolphins. Dimensions: 18 1/2 inches x 11 1/2 inches across handles x 10 1/2 inches deep.
