Silver Overlay Spahr & Co Porcelain Vase in Green and White

About the Item

A mid-century modern vase in green and white from Edelstein porcelain decorated with pure silver overlay in the studio of Spahr & Co. / Silberbelegwaren-Fabrik of Germany, dating circa 1960s. The vintage vase is decorated with stylized modernist silver overlay blossoms, tendrils and leaves against a contrasting ground in shades of green. The vase is in very good condition, measuring 9.5 in height x 4.5 in diameter (at widest). The base has a green Edelstein / Bavaria / Made in Germany printed factory mark underfoot over a label that reads: Spahr / Feinsilberauflage / 1000/1000, signifying a pure silver overlay crafted from the highest quality of available silver.
