Large Green Pink Opalescent Chalcedony Flower Italian Art Glass Centerpiece Vase
About the Item
Gorgeous, large Murano handblown opalescent "Chalcedony" surface Italian art glass vase with large flowers and vines motif. The vase is signed underneath. Looks like "Fabio", but I cannot make out the last name. It is also dated '86. Created in the manner of designer Aldo Nason, so maybe an artist from his studio. The vase has 3 different flowers around, 2 bright pink and one dark. The "Chalcedony" technique uses chemical oxides, silver and gold leaf to create the textures and colors. You can see some gold flecks around the pink flower is still present. Measures 13 3/4" tall x 8" wide.
