Important Otto Eckmann Waterlily Vase Jugendstil Patinated Bronze KPM Stoneware
About the Item
Important large Jugendstil / Art Nouveau Waterlily bronze mounted vase designed by Otto Eckmann, circa 1898 featuring a patinated bronze mount by Otto Schulz, featuring a deep to light brown-flecked, light aqua blue to royal deep blue glazed stoneware with a slight metallic shimmer creating an evocation of water by Königliche Porzellan Manufaktur, Berlin ( KPM ). This exceptional beauty is 52 cm / 20.47 inches tall, 28 cm / 11.02 inches wide and 16 cm / 6.30 inches deep. It stays in very good original condition, minor characteristic wear consistent with age and use. It is marked two times, on either side of the patinated bronze metal mount with Otto Eckmann artist's cypher. Otto Eckmann’s Waterlily vase is a Jugendstil icon.
