French Chinoiserie Style Gilt Bronze and Hand Painted Porcelain Table Lamp
About the Item
This amazing and large late 19th-century oil lamp mounted on a gilt bronze base and fitted with bronze cap and handles, features a cobalt blue and hand-painted porcelain body with Chinoiserie style colorful scenes. Ornate gilt bronze details in neoclassical style. The oil lamp has been converted to an electric lamp or can be transformed into a vase for artificial flowers or, by inserting a smaller vase with water, can be used as a vase.
This lamp has porcelain damage please see image #17. On image #18, you can see the second lamp (crossed out) that is in perfect condition and can be purchased to make a set of two.
