French Art Nouveau Art Deco Ceramic Vase, Signed

US$895

About

A stunning art nouveau or art deco transition period attributed to French art pottery from La Société Denert et Balichon, known as Denbac Pottery of Vierzon, dating circa 1930. Denbac's grès flammés (flamed sandstone) glazes are unique to every piece and this vessel is decorated in a color palette of complimentary neutrals in shades of green and grey with hints of blue and a brown drip glaze trailing down the body. Micro-crystalline clusters, resembling leopard spots, create a lustrous metallic sheen. This piece is signed, unidentified ceramic artist. Measures: 5 7/8" W x 5 1/2" D x 5 3/4" H Condition: Perfect condition, no cracks or chips.
