Danish Modern Stoneware Vase with Flies by Jorgen Mogensen, Own Studio 1950s

About the Item

This rectangular stoneware vase was designed by Danish ceramist Jorgen Mogensen (Royal Copenhagen designer) and created in his own workshop/studio. It is a unique piece and its signed by hand and numbered F262. The vase features thick overtone earthy glazes and a fly in relief to each side. Besides being an appointed Royal Copenhagen artist JM is known for his peculiar relief work and his glazing-techniques that bears resemblance to Axel Salto and Bode Willumsen.
