Vase Sfumato, Cirillo Maschio, Attributed Aquamarine with Morisa Murano, 1920s

US$5,733.54

About

This vase shows many features that are on the Marinuzzi Zecchin vessel production. It's costolato sfumato with typical hansw handles and the curl at the upper end. Has the costolatora in the same way of other vases and the typical morisa non rimarginata at the bottom and at the mouth. And of course the sfumato technique which was Zecchin signature Show the typical flaws of their production, inclusions due to the coal worked ovens and lack of rimarginatura (the sealing of the overlapping of the glass application of on the mouth and bottom). The punty stacco unpolished. It's manufactured on the 1920s-1930s. Not in line with the attribution is the acquamarine color. Venini and Cappellin production was at the time mostly bluino. There is an aquamarine vase on reference. The asymmetry of the two handles. Also the rigadin on sfumato has not been seen (which is not against the attribution). I am convinced is from Martinuzzi Zecchin and most likely is a prototype or a first series with the acquamarine color just introduced. A collectors vase of the prewar period Murano period.
