About the Item
A pair of decoratively carved wood splash boards from the southeastern region of Papua, New Guinea, presented on custom stands. This pair of vintage tribal boards have been carved from a single piece of wood, and were typically used in the front of a canoe to protect from splashing. The boards are nicely aged, with nicely carved details on their front sides, and remnants of old paint.
