A very whimsical and spirited Luohan from calls in the beasts of the forest as to protect them from harm. These bronzes are rare but come up for sale from time to time. This piece shows the signs of Ming art; flowing robes, mystical beast like animals and expressive facial features.
Measures: Height 8.5 inches
Width: 3.75 inches.
Condition: Staff resting on has left arm shows a micro stress line. Stable and not repaired. Other than that; Excellent.
