A beautiful Italian 19th century white Carrara marble sculpture of Adam and Eve. The sculpture is raised by a rock shaped base with a serpent wrapped around a tree trunk. Adam is depicted with an assuaged expression with an apple at his feet. Eve stands leaning on the arm of Adam and faced towards the apple. Exceptionally executed.
