French 19th Century Louis XVI Style Patinated Bronze and Ormolu Statue



A charming and high quality French 19th century Louis XVI style patinated bronze and ormolu statue titled: "Au Clair De La Lune" and signed BOURET. The beautiful statue is named after the famous French song "Au Clair De La Lune" originating in the 18th century. The statue is raised by a square Portoro marble base below the ormolu platform where the name is inscribed. Above is a Pierot singing and holding a Ukilele. With wonderful expression and details throughout.
