An antique/midcentury fine porcelain hand painted statuette depicting a romantic Classic couple.
Lovely high quality fine porcelain statuette made by the Saxon Porzellan manufacturer Ackermann & Fritze. It has very fine hand painted details and beautiful deep colors like the bleu of the men's jacket and very fine porcelain details like the flowers on the breast of the woman or on the floor.
Ackermann & Fritze was founded in 1908 in Thuringen (Germany) as a Manufacturer of Fine Art porcelain. It produced Luxury porcelain with namely statuettes/figurines. In 1951 the manufacturer was expropriated by the communist East German authorities and changed into the VEB Kunst- und Zierporzellanwerke Rudolstadt-Volkstedt.
This statuette is still in very good "used" condition seen its age; there is some minor wear at one of the golden rims at the bottom and a very tiny fleabite on the bottom rim (please see the detail pictures).
