US$4,500

About

We are always on the lookout for sports subject matter in our quest for antique bronzes. Boxing is right up at the top of our list. This high action, well modeled example of 2 boxers engaged in their sport is exactly the kind of work we are looking to buy. Good bronzes with sports themes are very hard to find that go back as old as this. Austrian artists created great bronzes that we have carried over the years and we were thrilled to find such a fine example. Artist signed "Thuss" and also bears the "Argentor" foundry signature. Richard Thuss 1865-1953 is an artist that created many fine works that we have offered. Mounted on the original marble base add to the beauty of this exciting bronze. If you like boxing and want a genuine antique, here is your chance to own just that.
