Art Deco Rare Pin Cushion Doll by Fasold & Stuach, c1930

About the Item

What a beauty this pincushion is, the full figured flapper sitting casually on a peach coloured velveteen pin cushion. It has a pillow for her to lean on and that has corded tassels at each end. There is two-toned silk coloured ribbon around the base. Very typical of the makers Fasold and Stauch with attention to detail and exquisitely executed. She is not only rare herself but to also be on such a well preserved and unusual cushion is amazing. She's in great condition, there are no chips or cracks or paint loss. The pincushion is 4-3/8” (11cm) wide and with the half doll is 4-1/8” (10.3cm) high. Stamped Germany on the base of the cushion.

  • Rare Set of Christian Art Deco Bronze Jesus, Mary & Angel Wall Plaques by Norga
    Located in Lisse, NL
Rare set of three, good size and mint condition works of religious art. This group of three bronze works of art (deco) all depict biblical scenes and they can be placed and worshipped in all kinds of settings. Meaningful and perfectly handcrafted works of religious art like these were mostly used in monasteries, private homes, but also on the more expensive cemeteries. The one on the left depicts Mother Mary and John the Baptist as they mourn over the body of Christ right after He was taken from the cross. The bronze plaque in the middle, we believe, depicts the third station where Jesus falls for the first time. The third bronze depicts a beautiful Arch Angel kneeling...
