Art Deco Goldscheider Wien Girl with Dog Pottery Figure, circa 1930
About the Item
A scarce and stylish Austrian Art Deco Goldscheider, Wien, pottery figure of a young girl with a dog dating from circa 1930. The novelty young girl figure stands on a rectangular base leaning on an umbrella in one hand and carrying a bag in the other. She has the customary curled hair and wears a small bonnet and has a small smiling dog wearing a blue bow sitting alongside. The figure is hand painted in colored enamels and is numbered 7845 3 to the base along with further printed marks and has an original silver foil makers label attached to the surface of the base. In excellent original condition with the customary age crazing to the thickly applied glazes.
