1930s Hubley Cast Iron Pink Basket of Roses and Phlox Floral Bouquet Doorstop

About the Item

A vintage Hubley cast iron doorstop showing a bouquet of yellow and pink roses along with blue and pink colored phlox, held by a pink, handled wicker basket. The basket sits on a raised plinth and retains the original painted finish. One of the smaller flower basket examples, nicely suited as a bookend as well. circa 1930. The Hubley Manufacturing Company was first incorporated in 1894 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania by John Hubley. The company is well-known for their cast iron novelties. Their pieces are highly collectible and much sought after. Weighing 2.5 lbs. Surface wear and light rust as is expected.

    A cast iron flatback panel originally from a balcony rail in France. Dating to the mid-late 19th century, these decorative objects were used as building or garden elements.
