Sandcast aluminum in editions of 450, Parkin's table-size animal sculptures of the “Nature of the Beast” collection was sold originally at Georg Jensen, Bloomingdale's and Reflections in NYC in 1974. The Hippo's elongated snout forms a base making it an abstraction of its natural form. Signed.
