Good size and beautifully carved, wooden Black Forest stag sculpture.
From the posture it is obvious that this impressive stag, with his head turned up, is attempting to attract and impress any females that are in the vicinity. The other day, I tried the same thing in the yard, but to no avail. The artist who has carved this realistic and sizeable sculpture has perfectly captured the activity of burling in the wild. This sculpture has a beautiful patina and the wonderful antlers too are a joy to look at. You will hardly ever find a quality Black Forest sculpture of this size and condition for such a great price.
