About
Green and yellow honeycomb object by the well-known glass artist Jörg F. Zimmermann from Uhingen.
This specific piece has a very unique shape and structure, strongly reminiscent of a skull. As Zimmermann's honeycomb pieces are always subject to coincidence, this unique shape is not reproducible and the only one within his whole collection with these associations.
Clear glass with color and oxide melting, free mouth blown through metal grid and shaped by hand.
Etched signature on base.
If you are interested in studio glass art from Germany, you can't avoid the works of the artist Jörg F. Zimmermann, born in 1940.
Zimmermann's artistic glass objects have the structures of nature as paradigm, in this collection reminiscing the structures of honeycombs.
The colored glass sculpture oscillates with different light exposure and leaves room for interpretations and inspiration. Works by Jörg F. Zimmermann can be found in almost every important private and public contemporary glass collection. He is one of the most well-known glass artists in Germany, has been working with glass for more than 60 years and teaching at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart, Germany since 1976.
This collectible object works best in the combination with light - in direct sunlight or artificial lighting.
Each piece is unique.
The price of this piece may be subjected to VAT (19%) if applicable.
