Gino Vistosi Murano 1961 Origami Paper Boat Italian Art Glass Sculptural Bowl

About the Item

Beautiful Murano hand blown yellow and white origami boat, with millefiori eye murine Italian art glass sculpture. Documented to designer Gino Vistosi, for Vetreria Vistosi, circa 1961. Amazing craftsmanship, as it looks like a mere piece of paper folded intricately, but it is glass. Published in the original Vistosi catalog, where they are displayed along with the Pianon bird sculptures (catalog will be included in the sale, see all photos). Published in collector books. The murine eye gives it a whimsical personality. Really brings it alive. A must for the Vistosi collector. Measures: 9 1/2" long. Extremely rare!
