Biomorphic Carved-Wood Sculpture

$4,800

About

An outstanding abstract carved-wood sculpture. A beautifully crafted, towering, biomorphic pillar with an intriguing, wonderfully undulating surface; an assortment of secretive openings bored-through; a jutting, counterbalancing appendage at the base. Wonderful patina from age. Mounted on ebonized wood plinth, likely original. A fine example of 1960s, American organic sculpture.
