"Man with the Bowler Hat" sculpture by David Gil, the founder of Bennington Potters (1960s, Bennington, VT, USA).
Features a ceramic face and derby hat with round mirrored glass eyes mounted on a steel rod set into cast stone. Rare, original base for this series.
Light wear consistent with age (namely, foxing to the mirrored eyes present and patina to the steel rod, as shown).
Impressed signature present to the reverse.
