About the Item

Michael Cartwright is an Australian Artist who was born in 1959. His creativity is spontaneous and his works exudes an ethos of balance and freedom. Whether it is sculpture, painting, drawing or printmaking, his work alternates between delightful play to a more serious exploration of man, nature and beauty. He sculpts in a variety of media- favouring bronze - sometimes with interesting and unique finishes added whether they be painted, silvered or polished. He became a member of the Royal Sculpture Society in 2018 and has pieces in many notable Australian and International Collections. Exhibitions 2018 ‘Journeys’ at Australia House, London.
