Pair of Sienna Marble and Bronze Tazzas

About the Item

A pair of Sienna marble and bronze tazzas dating from the early 19th century, purchased in France. This pair is possibly French or European. Designed for the Grand Tour market, the tazzas are symbolic designs of neoclassicism, which prevailed from the late 18th century throughout the 19th century. One of the marble stands has been repaired, this does not affect the overall support. Also please note one of the corners has a missing piece.
