About
C.D.E Werks of Carl Deffner (1856-1948) of Esslingen, Germany.
Superb Jugendstil copper and brass candle stick by the famous C.D.E Werks of Carl Deffner of Esslingen, Germany. The base, and the upright candle holder is in brass. The square base has a pierced design of holes on all four sides with a distinctive concave curved handle that slots into the drip tray. The four candle uprights have a ball inset and are square at the top. Measuring 16.5 cm tall x just over 6.5 cm across the base, which has the impress mark of a shield with crossed swords & CDE in between.
We prefer to sell our items in 'uncleaned' condition so that the new owner still has the choice
to remove the patina (signs of age) or not.?
The piece is in good condition and a real beauty!
