Gilt Bronze and Marble Figural Clock

About the Item

A very fine gilt bronze, patinated bronze and marble clock by Marlin & Cottin, 26 rue Amelot, Paris. The body of the clock made rouge marble ornate with gilt bronze garlands raised on toupie feet. On top a patinated statue depicting a scantily clad Venus kneeling & partially seated on a turtle. Measures: 22" H, base 12 1/2" x 12 1/2".
