A fine French 19th Century Louis XVI style ormolu and patinated bronze clock signed by renowned Paris clock maker Denière. Surmounted by the patinated bronze figure of a partly draped child wearing a wreath of leaves and playing an aulos (Greek wind instrument). After the model 'The Flutist' by French artist Jean-Baptiste Pigalle (1714-1785). The oval shaped fluted base with chased decorative floral bands. The eight day movement striking the hours and half hours on a bell and stamped '3553 Deniere A Paris'.
