Bolla Murano Glass Candleholder in Blue by Lucidi Pevere for Driade
About the Item
"Bolla is a handblown glass candle holder conceived as a subtle colorful accent of light. It comprises two elements, precisely the cylindrical base that holds the candle and the broad circular volume that enhances the object with personality and visibility. The combination of candle light and murano glass sheds a bright and delicate light that is artfully amplified by the large “bolla” (bubble) which frames and protects the flame. The elements are separated to easily light the candle. The refined nuances include smoky grey, prussian blue and vinaccia (grapestone). “The project bolla was conceived during a conversation at driade when we were requested to reflect on the theme of the candle for a new product to be added to the collection arte degli oggetti (the art of objects). This collection’s eclectic features have enabled us to work without too many limitations or stylistic influences. The object we have created is perfectly consistent with the projects we like most. It is formally simple and lasting, elegant without too many frills, just right and balanced, handcrafted but technically fully defined.” - Lucidi Pevere.
