Pair of Ormolu and Marble Seven-Light Candelabras Attributed to Eugène Cornu

About the Item

A Monumental Pair of Gilt Bronze and Verde Antico Marble Seven-Light Candelabras attributed to Eugène Cornu. Eugène Cornu was a sculptor and director of A. & Co. Pallu, a marble and Onyx Company of Algeria. His successor was G. Viot. Cornu specialized in luxury pieces of Algerian onyx, bronze and champlevé enamel combined. The company also produced objects from models of Albert Carrier-Belleuse, Charles Cordier and Louis-Alfred Barrias. Cornu received a gold medal for his designs World Fairs of London in 1862 - 1872 for his designs. Artist: Eugène Cornu (1827-1875) Origin: French Date: circa 1870 Dimension: 41 inches high
