About the Item
Stunning hand-chased five light solid patinated brass candleholder with hammered surface structure by master August Bohde, Söcking, Germany circa 1920-1930. The heavy candelabra influenced by the Bauhaus and Art Deco movement is marked 5 times with the artist mark, numbered 1 to 5 under the nozzles and has a wonderful warm patination. It is 38 cm / 14.96 inches wide, 27,5 cm / 10.83 inches tall and has a width at the base of 18 cm / 7.09 inches. It stays in very good original condition with minor wear consistent with age and use. Simply beautiful.
