Green Pierced Ceramic Tabletop Bowl, in Stock

About the Item

Inspired by Mid-Century Modern design, this bowl is wheel thrown and hand pierced stoneware. The satin glaze varies subtly from moss green to blue to gray. Controlled, slow cooling in the kiln allows tiny crystalline structures to form creating a unique, rich finish on each piece. Small holes are created when the clay is still wet and then each hole is painstakingly enlarged and smoothed when the clay is bone dry. The interplay of light and shadow, color and form complements any urban, contemporary or transitional space. It is beautiful on its own, but filled with seasonal fruits and vegetables it is a display of functional beauty that will bring your dining table or kitchen island to life. Dishwasher safe. Food safe.
