Decorative contemporary black and white ceramic raku coupe by artist Camille Campignion. Inspired by the Japanese seigaiha (or wave motif), the artist has individually engraved, freehand, hundreds of waves on the hand-coiled piece. The distinctive crackles of the raku technique make her piece vibrate with intensity. The raku glaze, applied with a brush, enhances the graphic wave motif.
Camille Campignion is a French master in the art of raku, with her distinctive graphic motifs.
