American four leaded stain glass windows signed by maker. Carpe Diem, Cornell, Nec Opprimere / Nec Opprimi, Che Sara Sara. A truly pioneering American glass artist, Maurice Heaton was a third-generation glass worker. He was born in 1900 in Neuchatel, Switzerland, and came to America with his family in 1914. Maurice worked with his father, Clement, designing and building stained-glass windows for many academic institutions and churches throughout New York City, Early 20th century.
