About the Item
A vintage Greco Roman style lost wax cast bronze sculpture of a putto riding a swan from the mid 20th century, with dark patina. Created with the traditional technique of the lost-wax (à la cire Perdue) which allows for great precision and finesse in the details, this sculpted group captures our immediate attention with its depiction of a chubby putto riding a swan. The latter, irritated by the presence of the petite character, is turning his head backwards in a rebellious attitude, thus creating a great torsion of his neck. Resting on a circular base and boasting a dark patina, this vintage Greco-Roman style sculpture of a putto riding a swan will make for a great decorative addition to any garden!
