Rare and Very Large Glazed Terracotta Amphora from Imprunetta, Italy

Beautifully-glazed in naturalistic green and brown and stamped with the "Rose of Imprunetta," this enormous amphora is frost-resistant and can be used as a planter, sculptural element, or converted into a water feature. It has been restored at the bottom, but is in perfectly usable condition and can be kept outside over the winter if we drill drain holes and it is raised up on feet and the mouth covered with a wooden lid. Minor chipping to the exterior glaze is commensurate with the age of this piece. The interior was re-glazed post-restoration, which was performed prior to our purchasing the amphora.
