A Louis XV period Lavabo in walnut, with pewter basins and fixtures, dating from the mid-18th century. The piece is remarkable for retaining its original lower detached basin, pewter liners, and resevoir, all with only minor wear. The crisp carved accents lighten the walnut frame with rococo forms and delicacy, and the pewter forms match with a graceful presence.
