About the Item
A contemporary cast bronze garden fountain with three putti holding a shell in a self-contained basin. Featuring a classical theme drawn from the Greco-Roman mythology, this charming bronze fountain features three lively putti climbing on one another's shoulders to elevate a textured shell. Cast with the traditional technique of the lost-wax (à la cire perdue) allowing great precision in the details, the putti attract all of our attention with their cheerful attitudes. The smoothness of their bodies contrasts beautifully with the darker and rougher aspect of the basin, as well as their hair. They are wrapped in delicate cloth, that is flapping in the wind as they are making their movement upwards.
