Grand Antique Pillared Victorian Mahogany Fireplace Mantle
About the Item
A large and magnificent carved pillared Victorian mahogany antique fireplace surround. The shelf, under carved with deep gadrooning, rests above a plain frieze topped with dentil moulding. Each of the panelled capitals sit above tapering and fluted columns supported on substantial foot blocks. The fireplace opening is framed with a border of large egg and dart moulding, circa 1880.
Pictured with slate fillets and original Victorian cast iron insert, both priced separately.
