Solid Brass Gadrooned Corbel

About the Item

Unusual Art Deco solid cast brass corbel in bell form with fluted gadrooning. Very heavy. 20-25 pounds. A bracket could be attached to the back so it could mount on the wall with lamp works added to make it function as an uplighter. Other than as an architectural element I'm not sure what exactly it would have been used for although just as it is it is an amazingly chic door stopper with stylings of Lars Holmström's Swedish Grace to Josef Hoffmann's Wiener Werkstatte.
