Pair of Antique French Cast Iron Balcony Planters/Ornaments, circa 1900
About the Item
These fabulous antique French rusted objects are known as “Balconniers”. A balconniere is a special ornamental planter that is attached or hung from balcony. These would have been cast around the turn of the last century and once graced an iron or stone balcony in France. They feature young womens’ faces with many flowers in their hair. The backs are plain with two areas for attaching the planters to a wall, balcony, beam or area of your choice. These are very unusual pieces, and they can be used indoors or out.
