About the Item
A precisely composed, darkly hued woodblock print by famed Japanese printmaker Kiyoshi Saito. Many consider Saito to be one of the most important, if not the most important, contemporary Japanese printmakers of the 20th century. This print of a Buddhist temple is titled "Okuno-hosomichi, Ioji Izaka". The work is signed and stamped, titled, dated (1965) and numbered (44/150) by the artist. Original self carved, self printed label on verso.
The print is framed and matted.
Framed dimensions: 27.5" high, 21.25" wide, 1" deep
