Clifton Karhu Limited Edition Japanese Showa Woodblock Portraiture Print, 1966
US$979

About
A whimsically designed and colored, woodblock portrait print by American master printmaker Clifton Karhu who lived in Japan for over 50 years. Karhu's work gained great esteem not only in Japan but worldwide. This limited edition print is signed, titled, dated (1966) and numbered (coveted 1/50) by the artist. The colors are vibrant and rich and the image relatively rare as I have not seen another copy of this particular work. The print is matted and framed.
Framed dimensions are: 20.5" high, 16" wide, .5" deep
Would be a great addition to any collection of Karhu's work or brilliant stand-alone work of art.
Karhu's work can be found in museums and collections throughout the world including:
Museum of Fine Arts Boston
Cincinnati Art Museum
Minnesota Museum of Art
Kunst Museum Salzburg, Austria
Fogg Museum, Boston
National Gallery of Australia, Canberra
American Chamber of Comm.
