Extraordinary Japanese six panel screen featuring six large mounted seasonal landscape scenes. Each Meiji period watercolor painting with intricate mountain, river, and village details. Made in the late 19th/early 20th century in the late Laterati school style with a Korean style influence. Mounted to a black lacquered frame with a silk border and etched brass embellishments. Shows beautifully with good joinery and signs of wear and fading on close inspection.
