From our recent Japanese Acqusitions Travels 20 Prints Immediately frameable A unique and magnificent manuscript album consisting of twenty (20) large folio antique hand painted 1880 woodblock prints 11" x 15" of Japanese musical instruments of the 19th century. All immediately frameable. Japanese instruments included: flutes, drums and more: Nohkan, Taiko, Tsuzimi, Koto, Gagaku and many more- a great study- 20 large prints 11" x 15" in all. Included are woodblock prints of flutes (Nohkan), drums (Taiko & Tsuzimi), stringed instruments (Koto), Wind instrument (Gagaku) and many more- a great study- 20 large prints 11" x 15" in all. Immediately frameable. Album measures 11 X 15 1/4 inches and has 20 pages of fine hand painted illustrations of traditional Japanese musical instruments. Well-painted with fine detail. Complete and in fine condition - just the way we like to find them. You can literally marvel for hours enjoying thumbing through this fine collection and dozens of 125 plus year old prints included in each. They are printed on washi paper and traditionally thread hand-sewn. The prints are easily removable and immediately frameable. Quality: All fine woodblock prints were printed from washi paper of that day and are in good condition with sharp impressions. Some prints have light foxing from age.
